New Designer 3D Glasses From Gucci And Armani Square Off Against Oakley!!

Tired of the same ol' 3D glasses at the theater? How about taking a look at these new offerings from Gucci and Armani?

Gucci's glasses (available next month) have "a high tech multi-layered mirrored coating which allows the wearer to view themselves in a mirror without distortion. The mirrored coating not only provides a premium look as well as offers superior viewing and contrast enhancement, but also allows over 98 percent of visible light through, therefore not affecting viewing in a cinema environment. An anti-reflective coating has been applied to the back of the lens for additional overall image quality by reducing scattered light, glare and blue light."

Both styles have an aviator style about them and are meant for in-theater, passive polarized systems like MasterImage and RealD.

A/X Armani Exchange offers a fashion forward unisex navigator style with a crystal gray plastic front and sleek shiny black metal temples.

Armani's glasses (available in December) have "special high tech multi-layered mirrored lens coatings which minimizes distortion when looking in a mirror and additionally offers superior viewing and contrast enhancement. An additional coating has been added to the back of the lens to reduce glare, scattered light as well as blue light for enhanced image quality. The optically correct 6-base curved lenses with circular polarized technology will allow 98+ percent of visible light through which will provide edge-to-edge distortion-free viewing in a movie theatre environment."

There is one big difference between these two 3D glasses offerings however... price. The Armani are reasonably affordable at $58 while the Guccis fetch a deeper pocket $225.

Oakley is
also in the game with offerings available before the holidays.
