If you haven't heard about Kindle Worlds yet and you're a writer, it's time you did.
Here's how it works:Kindle Worlds is a publication submission platform where you choose a licensed World, read the Content Guidelines for that World, write your story, upload that story, create a cover using free images or your own image, and accept a publishing contract with Amazon Publishing. It’s simple and it’s fast. Every Kindle Worlds story will be featured on Amazon.com and Kindle devices and apps.
But here's the kicker: Amazon just came to an agreement with Hasbro for the G.I. Joe universe!
Amazon and Hasbro shaking hands on this allows writers to publish their own fiction and earn royalties using established characters such as Snake Eyes, Cobra Commander and Zartan.
Amazon is throwing serious licensing fees at intellectual property owners to allow this to take place. GI Joe? Veronica Mars? Harbinger? Gossip Girl? The Vampire Diaries? Ravenswood? Something for almost everyone.
I'm most interested in G.I. Joe myself. Might even give it a go! I love theSnake Eyes character. I'd have to get deeper into the lore but I really enjoy the movies, especially the last one (G.I. JOE: RETALIATION) in 3D.

Sounds like a great deal to me. THE AVENGERS gave away poster at the midnight screenings but this deal of a free ticket AND potentially seeing a6 minute clip of THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN at the screening tonight is adding up to a really good deal!
Ok - NOW we're getting somewhere. I don't know why Pixar didn't start us off with more of this type of exposure to the world of BRAVE - because I am really liking what I am seeing now. Gorgeous!! THIS is the Pixar I know and love. Ignore the French subtitles as best you can - unless you're French of course!
I love that YouTube has embraced 3D too - though we aren't quite there yet for quality side by side stereoscopic viewing. Still if you don't mind anaglyph 3D, break out the old red and blue glasses! Definitely not for me though.
Here's the movie's storyline: Since ancient times, stories of epic battles and mystical legends have been passed through the generations across the rugged and mysterious Highlands of Scotland. In “Brave,” a new tale joins the lore when the courageous Merida (voice of Kelly Macdonald) confronts tradition, destiny and the fiercest of beasts. Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (voice of Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (voice of Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (voice of Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (voice of Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (voice of Robbie Coltrane). Merida’s actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Wise Woman (voice of Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it’s too late.
Pixar's BRAVE opens June 22.

Can't wait for this movie now! And yes, actually I do want to see more marketing for BRAVE - sounds strange considering how studios put out too much these days, but most of what I have seen thus far for this movie has not been up to par for me. THIS was so refreshing!More please!!
Jim here. Thanks to the heads up from James, I can now list some of the items now available for Disney's A CHRISTMAS CAROL by either pre-order or email notification:
Disney's A CHRISTMAS CAROL "The book of the film" paperback and you can also drop a hint to the guys at Amazon that you would like to be able to download and read this on your Kindle.
Should be your standard movie storyline transposed to paperback with tons of illustrations and/or movie screen shots.
There is also another paperback available entitled SEASON'S GREEDINGS which will be released on September 22 for only $3.99. The description is as follows:
"The timeless tale of an old miser who must face Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present, and Yet-to-Come, is re-imagined by cinematic visionary Robert Zemeckis. The three Ghosts remind Scrooge of the man he once used to be, the cold truth of who he is today, and what will happen if Scrooge does not strive to be a better man for tomorrow! Set during the holidays, A Christmas Carol is sure to stand out as a classic holiday film for years to come."
This edition has 8 pages of photos from the movie.
Last but not least is the Nintendo DS game version of the movie.
You can also play dominoes with it apparently and select classic Christmas songs to play.
The game is rated for 10 year olds and up and will be released on November 3.
The screen shots look compelling for young children without question. My kids are heavily in Nintendo so I will be picking this one up undoubtedly.
