Rumor Confirmed! 10 Disc AVENGERS ASSEMBLED Blu-ray Collectors Set Being Prepped!

Remember that rumor about a 10 disc blu-ray collection for THE AVENGERS that was being bounced around a couple of weeks ago? DONE DEAL.

According to Amazon, the Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase One - Avengers Assembled (10-Disc Limited Edition Six-Movie Collector's Set) will have the most recent 6 movies from Marvel and 3 of those movies will also have the 3D discs for those of you with 3D TVs at home. Namely, THOR, CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER and THE AVENGERS.

Here's what's included in the limited edition collection:


• Marvel’s The Avengers (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Captain America: The First Avenger (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Thor (Blu-ray 3D and Blu-ray)
• Iron Man 2 (Blu-ray)
• The Incredible Hulk (Blu-ray)
• Iron Man (Blu-ray)
• Bonus Disc - “The Phase One Archives” (Blu-ray)
• Collectible packaging with exclusive memorabilia from the Marvel Cinematic Universe

The AVENGERS ASSEMBLED 10 disc set does not have pricing yet, but I will let you know when that drops on July 15.

Ruffalo Has A 6 Picture Deal With Marvel To Play HULK!!

Yes! With apparent word of mouth that Mark Ruffalo NAILED playing Hulk in THE AVENGERS, this news will be welcome indeed to Marvel fanatics worldwide, including me. Ruffalo has committed to doing 6 movies as Hulk and with that means with utmost certainty that he will have stand alone HULK movies.

THE AVENGERS Roar, Opening To Record Numbers Overseas!

Avengers assemble is right! Wow. The Marvel superhero ensemble has stepped up and delivered in a big way in some smaller markets hinting at what is to come in the coming weeks worldwide.

THE AVENGERS held the highest and second highest opening numbers of all time in New Zealand and Australia respectively. Taiwan also had it's opening day record smashed by Cap and his team.

Projections for North America are illuminating a potential $150 million + opening! Personally I think it will be closer to an eye opening $200m. MovieTickets.com have said that pre-sales are out pacing IRON MAN, IRON MAN 2, CAPTAIN AMERICA and THOR... COMBINED. Yeah, it's that good folks.

THE AVENGERS open in North America on May 4.

Must Watch: TV Spot For THE AVENGERS - Hulk Smash!

Definitely worth a watch but I would understand why you may not want to! These TV spots and trailers / clips are starting to add up and why watch something on the small screen when you know already that you will be paying to see it on the big one!?

We are at the stage now in marketing where these things are designed for folks who are on the fence about going for whatever reason - they need a little something extra to get them to head out to the theaters to see it. Well, most of us are already sold thank you. Still, if you are like me - you HAVE to watch. Curiousity wins 9 times out of 10!

Some new shots here - quite cool indeed. Your call if you want to watch it or not! I kinda have to with my line of work so... :-)
