MUST WATCH: New International Trailer For STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS

Well hello. This new Japanese trailer for STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS looks stunning! Many new scenes and not too much given away regarding spoilers - although more than what we're used to from Abrams. Certainly there are visual spoilers and characters have their closeups but don't be worried about learning too much of the storyline. That being said, this trailer goes into more depth than the domestic materials so as usual you are being warned.

And... the poster is new as well! Adam Driver's Kylo Ren dominates the new Korean poster and it looks sensational.

SWTFA is going to look amazing in 3D. I've got that feeling. I think everything about this movie is going to be perfect. The story, the imagery, the soundtrack, the characters, the soul. The pressure on JJ Abrams to deliver this thing must be off the scales, but he seems to be taking everything in stride. I've seen the domestic trailer in IMAX and it brings chills. Can't wait for its 3D.

I've already have my ticket bought for opening night and I urge you to buy ahead of time as well. You'll want to see this thing early to 1. enjoy it and 2. avoid the spoilers that will undoubtedly be flying EVERYWHERE on social media the day after opening.

Enjoy the trailer!

STAR WARS THE FORCE AWAKENS opens on December 17.

Spivet Gets Domestic Distribution Deal & International Poster

Tim here, and over the weekend Harvey Weinstein did a great service to the US by picking up distribution rights for THE YOUNG AND PRODIGIOUS SPIVET (French title: L'Extravagant Voyage du Jeune et Prodigieux T.S. Spivet) according to Deadline. As well a new international poster has emerged for the movie. It's geared towards French audiences, despite the movie being in the English language.
Although there hasn't been an announced domestic release date yet, it will hit French IMAX screens October 10th. With Weinstein obtaining the domestic distribution we can expect a domestic poster and release date soon.
For those of you who are curious about the note on the poster written in French. It reads:

TS
Translated to English it says: (Google Translate)
Dear Family Spivet,

I'm off to work some time away from here. Do not worry. I have not told you because I did not want to disturb you. Thank you for taking care of me, you are one of the best families in the world.

I love you,
TS

WHOA. New IRON MAN 3 Poster Reveals Iron Legion!

IRON MAN 3 is looking extremely inviting right about now. Seems the Iron Legion rumors have been verified here. For those not in the know, the Iron Legion are a series of suits created and controlled by Tony Stark through Extremis (nanotechnology). Apparently these suits have interchangeable parts to enable various configurations of weapons, defense, etc.

Question: Are the suits on his side or has The Mandarin managed to gain control of them in the poster? Thoughts?

Here's the movies storyline:
Marvel’s IRON MAN 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

IRON  MAN 3 opens on May 3.

Must See: Brand New International Posters For THE GREEN HORNET!!

Check out the new international posters for Seth Rogen's THE GREEN HORNET - not bad! I am beginning to come around a bit to the movie after all. I like the comic color and lighting in these shots - especially the green jacket Rogen is wearing and Christoph Waltz's leather.

You can see that the first four posters all join together and don't really stop! You can just keep adding them one after the other :-)

Could it be that I will be blown away by THE GREEN HORNET? I am opening my mind to it. I don't want any expectations though, that way the possibilities will be greater for my enjoyment :-)

Here is the movie's storyline:
Britt Reid (Seth Rogen) is the son of LA’s most prominent and respected media magnate and perfectly happy to maintain a directionless existence on the party scene – until his father (Tom Wilkinson) mysteriously dies, leaving Britt his vast media empire. Striking an unlikely friendship with one of his father’s more industrious and inventive employees, Kato (Jay Chou), they see their chance to do something meaningful for the first time in their lives: fight crime. But in order to do this, they decide to become criminals themselves – protecting the law by breaking it, Britt becomes the vigilante The Green Hornet as he and Kato hit the streets. The Green Hornet and Kato quickly start making a name for themselves, and with the help of Britt’s new secretary, Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz), they begin hunting down the man who controls LA’s gritty underworld: Benjamin Chudnofsky (Christoph Waltz). But Chudnofsky has plans of his own: to swat down The Green Hornet once and for all.

Cast: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz
Director: Michel Gondry

THE GREEN HORNET opens in 3D theaters in North America January 14, 2011.

What do you think? Is THE GREEN HORNET on your must see list in 2011?

New International Posters For Disney's TANGLED

Got two new international posters for you from Disney's TANGLED (via /Film). See how the characters and environment has no sharp edges at all? Very World of Warcraft isn't it? The whole movie is refreshingly the same as I can attest as I saw an advanced early look at footage at The 3D Experience.

Directed by Byron Howard & Nathan Greno (the co-director and head of story on Bolt respectively), this new telling of the classic fairy tale Rapunzel (the original title of the film), will transport audiences “to a stunning CG fantasy world complete with the iconic tower, an evil witch, a gallant hero and, of course, the mysterious girl with the long golden tresses. Expect adventure, heart, humor, and hair, lots of hair.” The lead heroine is voiced by Mandy Moore while Chuck’s Zachary Levi will play a “dashing bandit” named Flynn Ryder who hits the road with the “rebellious, teenage hair apparent.” Previous director Glen Keane developed a new look for this computer animated film, which is said to look and feel more like a traditional hand-drawn Disney Classic, but in 3D. Apparently the film uses a non-photorealistic rendering technique which will make the surface look like it is painted but still containing depth and dimensions. The movie’s visual style is being based on French Rococo artist Jean-Honore Fragonard’s painting “The Swing”.

The end result is so fantastic!
You are going to love TANGLED if you love animations. Walt Disney himself would love this movie. Mark November 24 on your calendar!

Speak Russian? New "Monsters vs. Aliens" Poster

**SAME DAY UPDATE: And now the English version! lol Thanks for the update Colin (Get The Big Picture) - though I disagree with your sentiment...

Jim here guys. Dah. Looks like another MONSTERS VS. ALIENS poster has popped up - this time an international version from Russia...

I don't know what it says obviously, but if someone who knew Russian, or had a Russian keyboard to type in those characters into an online translator (and so is probably Russian anyway) could post the meaning of it - much appreciated! Already know the title, thank you very much!

The character depicted in the poster is known as B.O.B. and is played by Seth Rogen. He is a gelatinous mass. B.O.B. is rather...

Trailer is here.

I think that there will be one of these posters for each character in the movie - why not start with the Rogenizer!
