Here's the new TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES trailer - though there is very little that's new about it over the first one.
Probably the coolest thing about the movie thus far is obviously the creature effects, but also the fact that Leonardo is being voiced by Johnny Knoxville. Oh and William Fichtner. Anything with Fichtner is definitely cool. :-) And I guess having Megan Fox associated with another Michael Bay production is something too.
Here's the storyline for the movie: The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April O’Neil (Megan Fox) and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick (Will Arnett) to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan. Based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Characters Created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman with a Screenplay by Josh Appelbaum and Andre Nemec and Evan Daugherty, Producer Michael Bay (the blockbuster Transformers franchise) and director Jonathan Liebesman (Wrath of the Titans) bring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the popular franchise that has captivated audiences of all ages for decades, into the 21st century.
TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES opens on August 8 in 3D.
As you all know by now, JACKASS 3D is pwning the box office. At last tally, the movie has taken in over $50 million in just a few days.
Guess what? According to Johnny Knoxville, the gang shot enough footage that TWO movies could have been made, so now he is teasing the audience with the potential of Paramount releasing what amounts to a JACKASS 3.5 to theaters as early as Christmas!
Says Knoxville:"We shot two movies’ worth of footage. We have so many bits that we never even turned in to Paramount because we were so swamped with ideas — funny stuff. The bits were just coming out of us left and right."
Was all of this pre-planned? Well Knoxville did tell MTV this back in August: "Man, we filmed so much stuff. So much great stuff got left out of the film because we just overshot. That'll be in '[Jackass] 3.5,' coming out at Christmas."
I say this was all premeditated and Paramount wanted proof of a hit before committing to what amounts to the marketing of two movies released within months of each other. Personally, I thought the gags in the first half of JACKASS 3D were spectacular and I was LOLing almost constantly, whereas the second half lost some momentum. I think this happened because they did NOT put all the good stuff into JACKASS 3D and saved some for 3.5. Just my thoughts of course. So, YES, I want to see more! Bring it on Paramount!! :-)
Hilarious!Check out this 15 minute behind-the-scenes clip for JACKASS 3D (via VBS.TV) which opens tonight - and opens BIG. Pundits are estimating it takes the top position over the weekend box office with a potential $25m.
My friends at Paradise FX did the native 3D shoot, so it is bound to be great visually!
So are you taking in JACKASS 3D this weekend? I know I'm there. Big time! :-)
Check this new trailer for JACKASS 3D from Paramount! It's fully complete with a flying port-a-potty, a big slap to the face and what I think is a touch of genius, the ol' flying man being pummeled by paintballing bird hunters.
Watch it once, I guarantee you will watch it a second time! Well probably will watch it a second time :-) Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O and the boys are here to please...
This third iteration of the JACKASS franchise is in 3D and opens wide on October 15. Should be a blast!!
Jim here. Paramount just listed Jackass 3-D as a 2010 production (via Cinematical) and so it seems Johnny Knoxville will ride again - and this time will be making you squirm in three dimensions! :-)
Sounds like a natural fit to me. Why not? Jackass tends to push visual buttons so S3D should up the ante a bit. Or a LOT. :-)
