Johnny Knoxville: JACKASS 3.5 To Hit The Big Screen?

As you all know by now, JACKASS 3D is pwning the box office. At last tally, the movie has taken in over $50 million in just a few days.

Guess what? According to Johnny Knoxville, the gang shot enough footage that TWO movies could have been made, so now he is teasing the audience with the potential of Paramount releasing what amounts to a JACKASS 3.5 to theaters as early as Christmas!

Says Knoxville: "We shot two movies’ worth of footage. We have so many bits that we never even turned in to Paramount because we were so swamped with ideas — funny stuff. The bits were just coming out of us left and right."

Was all of this pre-planned? Well Knoxville did tell MTV this back in August: "Man, we filmed so much stuff. So much great stuff got left out of the film because we just overshot. That'll be in '[Jackass] 3.5,' coming out at Christmas."

I say this was all premeditated and Paramount wanted proof of a hit before committing to what amounts to the marketing of two movies released within months of each other. Personally, I thought the gags in the first half of JACKASS 3D were spectacular and I was LOLing almost constantly, whereas the second half lost some momentum. I think this happened because they did NOT put all the good stuff into JACKASS 3D and saved some for 3.5. Just my thoughts of course. So, YES, I want to see more! Bring it on Paramount!! :-)
