Our second trailer of the day is also probably the final of the lot for THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER. I am quite taken with the special effects for this iteration of the franchise! Past efforts have left me with a blank look but this one - WOW.
Storyline: Lucy and Edmund Pevensie return to Narnia with their cousin Eustace where they meet up with Prince Caspian for a trip across the sea aboard the royal ship The Dawn Treader. Along the way they encounter dragons, dwarves, merfolk, and a band of lost warriors before reaching the edge of the world.
Have a look:

The third trailer for THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER is now online!
We are getting more and more details of the story included in each subsequent trailer and I am getting more and more amped. I have yet to truly be enthralled by the franchise so my hopes are high that this iteration knocks it home for me.
Here's a new trailer for NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER and it is from the recently released DIARY OF A WIMPY KID DVD.
I like this trailer more than the first(although the water flowing painting was very cool in the original). There is much more of Lucy in this second one and maybe that is the key to driving home more success with the release. There are also more glimpses of what we now know to be the Book Of Incantations.
I WANT to be so much more interested in these movies. I really do. I hope they deliver the goods here; the way Peter Jackson delivered Middle-earth - but I know that isn't going to happen will it? One can dream though I guess.
Got some new (potentially unofficial) photos for you from THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER from NarniaFans (via FirstShowing) and the poster treatment looks very refreshing! Looks like it was done by hand rather than by computer but still gives off a grand adventure vibe. Nicely done!

Also included in these shots (which may actually have come from part of a contest that National Geographic in Italy has run) is Reepicheep (mouse) and Aslan (lion). As NarniFans points out, it is strange that the helm Reepicheep is standing on has no spokes for the navigator to use.
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: THE VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TREADER opens in theaters nationwide on December 10.
As much as I try, I have not been able to get too pumped up about the series thus far. DAWN TREADER being in 3D has certainly sparked interest in me, but we'll see. I am always open to most movies.
I am anxious to see how NARNIA turns out in 3D. Legions of fans have been waiting since PRINCE CASPIAN was released in May of 2008 for this second sequel of the classic stories.
The series has been a huge success box office wise: THE LION, THE WITCH AND THE WARDROBE made $745m worldwide and PRINCE CASPIAN dipped significantly but still pulled in $420m.
THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA: VOYAGE OF THE DAWN TRADER opens this December 10 in 3D theaters near you.
I have a couple of comments about the trailer but I will place them after the embed so that I don't spoil it for you! Have a look...
I love the painting filling the room with water scene! The imagery looks stunning don't you think?
Personally I want more minotaurs!
To be honest however, the series has not inspired me yet. Obviously the world loves the franchise so I am hoping the 3D brings me in! I certainly enjoyed CS Lewis' stories growing up. I will be first in line to check this one out.

Majestic shot or what? No wonder this franchise has been a worldwide phenomenon; wonderful and fantastic characters. Let's face it - C.S. Lewis was no slouch! VOTDT hits 3D screens this December 10.
