JACK THE GIANT KILLER Moved To 2013

Warner Bros. has decided to move Bryan Singer's JACK THE GIANT KILLER to March 22, 2013 from June 15 of this year. We had the movie pegged as our 6th most anticipated 3D movie of the year so yes, I'm bummed about this move.

The studio must have its reasons. While I loved the trailer, perhaps the effects for the rest of the movie were not moving along fast enough to match the quality of those first clips. It's common to delay a release to ensure that the effects are up to expectations. Added marketing time never hurts too.

Tom Cruise's ROCK OF AGES has taken that open June 15 release slot now.
