If you are squeamish, underage or at work think twice about watching this red band clip from SAW 3D. The title of the clip ('Jill's Demise') is not hidden, however given that you have probably seen the trailers (which highlight some of this scene) then you could most likely guess what happens anyway.
SAW 3D is only a week away now and the excitement is building :-) Will this truly be the last SAW movie? How on earth is this thing wrapped up? Will Jigsaw be rebooted?
Looking like some sort of evil twin of the Statue of Liberty, Jigsaw makes his final marketing appearance ever with this 3D effect poster.

I have to say I have been waiting for this one to arrive! Personally, I love the SAW movies even if they are getting long in the tooth.
I think this final one in 3D will resonate with many, many individuals. Enough to force further sequels? That I don't know, but one thing is certain: I am sure there will be plenty of nasty surprises in this one to keep us satisfied for awhile!
This week has seen a couple of trailers come out for 3D movies already and now a third:SAW 3D.Lionsgate is taking a different tact this time and are running with a trailer quite reminiscent of the MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D trailers that emphasized the gimmicky nature of horror in 3D - and I love it!
Interesting piece of trivia: In the very first opening shot of this trailer, take note of the condo building (Symphony Place) in the top right just above that roundish building (Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto) - I used to live there! 14th floor. Kinda creepy seeing it in this fashion - a SAW movie... :-)
Gimmicky 3D has its place today and that is horror. I don't want to see it anywhere else, but for horror? Amp it up. Lionsgate is doing just that!

Lionsgate has released another innovative poster to promote their 'final' iteration of the SAW franchise - SAW 3D. This time the pun is on the movie being in heart pounding 3D! No doubt it is. The aim will be to make you sick to your stomach at times I have no doubt.
I like what Lionsgate is trying to do here with these posters. Would like to see actual representations of these posters from RabbitHoles or a similar company too.
So far we have had 'eye popping' posters, 'mind blowing' posters and now 'heart pounding'. What's next guys? Care to wager? :-)

Perhaps this 3D iteration of the SAW franchise will reinvigorate the series? :-) More SAW? What about a spin off series that sets traps only with blunt instruments - something like MALLET? Seriously though, if SAW 3D makes a ton of money which I think it will, we may not have seen the end of Jigsaw.

Well all good things must come to an end and the SAW franchise is no exception ($730m+ over 7 years + 30m DVDs sold). Director James Wan's short video teaser to Lionsgate sold them on the concept and the original movie (2004) was then shot in 17 days for $1m. The film then earned $55m and the rest is history. There was a new SAW movie every year since.Lionsgate has confirmed this will be the last of them all.
I have enjoyed the long run, though the last movie kinda suffered. I am sure that they will be making it up to us with SAW 3D - in fact there will be 11 trap devices this time around which is almost double what their typical movie has. Apparently Lionsgate had to edit, re-edit and resubmit no less than 6 times to the MPAA to get an R rating instead of a NC-17.
SAW will be awarded the "Most Successful Horror Movie Series" by the Guinness Book of World Records at Comic-Con this year. Congratulations guys!
