Jason Momoa's AQUAMAN Breaks Surface!

There is only one true King. Unite the seven.

I think this is perfect casting and really amplifies my expectations for BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE. Jason Momoa just fits this role. Certainly the character needed presence as with any comic book superhero it can be a stretch to attain suspension of disbelief, but especially for the more marginal heroes and their abilities. Momoa definitely brings presence and the image shows how director Zach Snyder and DC are tackling his costume and weapon of choice.

Brilliant use of tattoos to mimic the traditional Aquaman costume! The tats also bring to mind cultural tattoos from the pacific islands - part of Momoa's heritage (his father is of native Hawaiian descent).

Momoa joins a stellar cast in BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE namely Henry Cavill (Superman), Ben Affleck (Batman), Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Jesse Eisenberg (Lex Luther), Jeremy Irons (Alfred), Amy Adams, Diane Lane and Laurence Fishburne.

Aquaman's exposure has been carefully planned and he is expected to have presence in JUSTICE LEAGUE PART ONE (slated for November 17, 2017), AQUAMAN (July 27, 2018) and JUSTICE LEAGUE PART TWO (June 14, 2019).

BATMAN V. SUPERMAN: DAWN OF JUSTICE is slated for a March 25, 2016 release.

Five More HOBBIT Character Posters!

Tim here, and here are yet another five more character posters for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Again spread across the last few posts on The Hobbit's Official Facebook Page. The images above are the new posters, and each keeps the close-up on the face of the character theme; First up Bard (Lee Evans), then Tauriel (Evangeline Lilly), followed by Thorin Oakenshield (Richard Armitage), then Thranduil (Lee Pace), and lastly Bilbo (Martin Freeman). Yes, another Bilbo poster, but this one stays in the theme of the others.

Next up we'll get posters of Merry, Pippin, and Samwise... kidding. Obviously, we've yet to get all the dwarves: Fili, Kili, Bifur, Bofur, Bombur, Ori, Nori, Dori, Oin, Gloin, Dwalin, and Balin. My, oh my, I hope I didn't leave anyone out. However, Bilbo is the last of the character posters according to the Facebook Page. And then: the theatrical trailer!

I can't say when the theatrical trailer will hit. However, it is supposed to be this month. So keep cool and we'll let you know a soon as it hits.

The release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies arrives in theaters December 17th, 2014 in IMAX 3D, RealD 3D, HFR 3D shot in native 3D with 3ality Technica rigs.

More Character Posters for THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES !

Tim here, and here are three more character posters for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. Spread across a few posts the last few days from The Hobbit's Official Facebook Page. The images above are the new posters. Each of them are close-ups on the faces of each character; First up we have Gandalf the Grey (Ian McKellan) looking off to the side with a grim expression, followed by Galadrail (Cate Blanchett) staring directly into the eyes of viewer, and finally Legalos (Orlando Bloom) poised with his bow ready to let an arrow loose.

If you go to the Official Facebook Page and comment on the latest posting of the picture you can vote who's character poster you'd like to see next. This means we're going to be getting more character posters, and it could possibly be a character poster a day until we get the theatrical trailer. The cast is that large, so it is feasible.

New Poster Of Bilbo For THE HOBBIT: THE BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES !

Tim here, and it looks like we'll be getting the next trailer for The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies soon because yesterday Peter Jackson shared a new poster on his Official Facebook Page. The image to the left is the new poster. It depicts Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) with his sword, Sting, thrust out in front of him, and what lies behind him is the devastation of a battle with burning flags and what looks to be the ruin of Dale.

Now there's nothing that explicitly states that we're getting a new trailer soon, however due to comments earlier in the year it's more than probable. Back in July when the teaser trailer was released we had been informed that the full theatrical trailer would hit in the fall. Our belief was that it would possibly be October. With the release of this poster on Jackson's Facebook it sparks the need to pay close attention again to Jackson's page. Most of the activity since the teaser trailer debut has been with regards to The Hobbit Fan Contest. Thus, this poster is an indication that activity on the page is about to increase. And we're still early in October so it could be the end of October that we'll actually get to see the trailer released. However, we're going to keep an open eye out for you and post it hear as soon as it's available.

In the meantime enjoy this new poster. I hope it's the start of many more Character Posters that we'll be seeing leading up to the release of The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. The movie hits theaters December 17th, 2014 in IMAX 3D, RealD 3D, HFR 3D - all shot in native 3D with 3ality Technica rigs!

Check The New Suit For THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2

Definitely much better. While I liked the suit in Marc Webb's first web-head effort, this is more along the lines of what I was anticipating all along. A modern slant on the original comic suit. White eyes. Traditional red and blue tones. Perfect. Love it.

More when we get it!

Here's the movie's storyline:
In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 opens on May 2, 2014.

Helm's Deep: New IRON MAN 3 Character Posters

Take a new look at IRON MAN 3's leading talent for Shane Black's first crack at the Marvel universe. First up we have Gwyneth Paltrow with a distinctly damaged helm and lots of sparks.

Followed by Robert Downey Jr. with the same helm and more sparks.

Not sure of the order of things with these posters - was Potts sad to be missing Stark, or angry in the inappropriate gift from him that still had sparks flying from it?

IRON MAN 3 opens on May 3.

New Character Poster For OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL

...And we have Rachel Weisz as the wicked witch from Disney's OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL looking rather menacing.

I am actually looking forward to seeing this native 3D production and I'm not really a fan of the original story. Did I just say that out loud?

Here's the storyline for the movie:
OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL imagines the origins of L. Frank Baum’s beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot—fame and fortune are his for the taking—that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity—and even a bit of wizardry—Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL opens on March 8, 2013.

New Character Posters For THE GREAT GATSBY

We've got a couple of new character posters for Baz Luhrmann's upcoming take on Fitzgerald's THE GREAT GATSBY featuring Myrtle Wilson (played by Isla Fisher) and Tom Buchanan (played by Joel Edgerton).

Clearly dazzling colors and impeccable style will be front and center for the movie and I can't wait to see the visuals in native 3D!

Here's the movie's storyline:
The Great Gatsby follows Fitzgerald-like, would-be writer Nick Carraway as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922, an era of loosening morals, glittering jazz and bootleg kings. Chasing his own American Dream, Nick lands next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby, and across the bay from his cousin, Daisy, and her philandering, blue-blooded husband, Tom Buchanan. It is thus that Nick is drawn into the captivating world of the super rich, their illusions, loves and deceits. As Nick bears witness, within and without the world he inhabits, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy, and holds a mirror to our own modern times and struggles.

THE GREAT GATSBY opens May 10, 2013.
